​​Strip Out
The internal soft strip often identifies unexpected aspects of the buildings structural design. Quite often when a building needs to be refurbished for existing or change of use purposes it’s also important to consider potential hazards that may be concealed within the fabrics of the building. Such hazards will need to be addressed first with a professional and practical approach.
This allows for practical solutions to the removal of all finished surfaces resulting in the building being returned to its original shell.

Strip out activities normally follow on from the strip out process which includes the removal of temporary floors and ceilings, non-load bearing partitions, mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems including lighting, cables, cable trays, heating, ventilation systems etc.

The internal strip out works could be that of a segregated area of a building that is being refurbished or perhaps the entire building to facilitate remodelling work.

​​​​Internal Demolition, Alterations & Propping

The internal demolitions and alterations undertaken by MP & K allow building owners or tenants to amend the layouts of their working footprint. We regularly undertake the internal demolition and alterations to allow for new lifts and extensions to properties. Wall saws and track saws are used to give a smooth "customer facing" finish upon completion of our works. We can undertake the propping, subject to design, and have Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs) and Temporary Works Supervisors (TWSs) to sign off the installations as well as completing the weekly checks.

Non Licensed Asbestos Removal
Once the asbestos survey has been completed and known asbestos containing materials have been identified, MP & K have the abilities in house to remove non-licensed asbestos. Our whole team are trained in Non-Licensed Non-Notifiable asbestos removal, all staff are Face Fitted for half face or full face respirators and we have in-house mask maintenance.
